The challenge

Everyday errands were scattered across vendors, riders and payment methods.

Ordering food, groceries, medicine or a parcel often meant different contacts, unclear delivery times and cash on hand. Merchants had no simple way to receive and track orders, and riders had no single place to find work.

What we built

One ecosystem, three apps, one order flowing between them.

Customers order in Cartlex. Merchants receive and prepare the order in Cartlex Sales. Riders accept and deliver it in Cartlex Rider. Each app is designed around one role, and all three share the same order, status and tracking.

Inside the customer app, Food, Mart, Pharmacy, Fresh and Parcel run as separate services on one shared platform, so Cartlex can grow one service, one city and one zone at a time.

For merchants and riders

Merchants sell without running a fleet. Riders get steady work.

Restaurants, pharmacies, mini marts and market sellers list their products in Cartlex Sales and reach customers beyond their own street. Cartlex handles the delivery, so a merchant never has to hire or manage riders. Riders get orders assigned in real time across every service, with GPS tracking and structured payouts.

What we learned

People switch when it is simple and they can trust it.

Many vendors were used to selling face to face, and many customers still preferred to shop in person. Vendors joined once they saw more customers and simpler orders, but they wanted to be sure about payments and reliability. Customers liked ordering from different shops in one place.

Both sides needed a clean, simple flow, and both needed confidence: customers that they would receive what they ordered, and vendors that they would be paid fairly. That is why clear support and reliable delivery come before new features.

How we work on it

A product we run ourselves, improved release by release.

Cartlex is developed and operated by Limitlex. The team ships regular updates across all three apps, guided by feedback from customers, merchants and riders.

Cartlex launched in December 2025 and serves Umuahia and Umudike in Abia State.
